Paris Day 5: Montmartre

Ryan and I just moved to our cheapo 2-star hotel yesterday. It's located near Pigalle, a part of town famous for the Moulin Rouge, the girly shows and sex bars. The room is tiny but clean and costs about 78€ with a simple breakfast included.

The walls are thin so you sometimes hear the er, activities from other rooms. Good thing we are out most of the day shooting.

We trekked up the hill at Montmartre today to see the arty place and the Sacre Coeur. Stunning church inside and a great view of the city.

We found a free internet signal called Neuf, at the Quick restaurant (their MacDonald's) so we quickly whipped out my Macbook to grab email and connect to Skype, to call our families. Internet is blood. Nothing matters more than getting an internet connection, except maybe finding cheap food.

Some travel mini-disasters happened: I left my Nokia charger at the previous hotel so the phone is low in juice until I can get it back. I also cut my right thumb at a cooking demo, plus lost my left contact lens. Bummer.

The work day is long too, but hey, other than that, Paris is really nice. Update you guys when I get a wifi signal again.
